It was a perfect day to stay indoors since it was rainy and cold. Here's what we did:

watched clips about Cheryl Strayed, Wild, the PCT, and listened to a reading from her memoir about her backpack, "Monster"
Planning a Hike activity: students chose a hike destination, figured out what supplies they would take and how much it would weigh; they put weights in a hiking bag to test how it would feel
started watching Fly Away Home

*Tomorrow is our trip to Eastwood for kayaking and hiking; students, please make sure you bring your signed permission packet!
